工作内容

Part time Personal Carer required to support a young man with combined severe learning and mental health difficulties within his own home and in the community.

The hrs are 24 per week Monday to Thursday from 11.00 - 17.00 The contract includes a 6 week induction period and is for an initial fixed term of six months.

Rate of pay - £10.50 per hour.

Duties Will Include
  • Support with personal care routine including toileting needs, showering, washing hair, cleaning teeth, shaving, dressing
  • Support the client by preparing their drinks, snacks and meals
  • Supporting the client with eating
  • Support in selecting and implementing home based activities
  • Transport to local community based venues
  • Support with external community based activities

(Shopping, eating out)
  • Support to be safe both within and outside of the home
  • In addition to the above the personal assistant will be required to undertake some general domestic cleaning duties in relation to the client.


Applicants need to be calm, patient, observant, sensitive and gently firm in their approach while at the same time able to lead and be supportive throughout the day. Applicants need to have a good sense of humour and be punctual and trustworthy. Previous experience of working within a similar role is highly desirable, however consideration will be given to candidates with alternative work backgrounds that demonstrate suitable skills and aptitude.

Applicants should have their own transport and a clean driver’s license and be able to plan and undertake activities within the local community based around social and shopping skills.

You Must Also Fulfil The Following Essential Requirements.

Successfully complete a new DBS clearance, which the employer will pay for.

Be a non smoker

Feel comfortable around a well trained dog

Be willing and able to use all forms of public transport

Be able to transport the client by wheelchair
