The Opportunity
Do you want to shape the future Airframe of Airbus? Then join our Airframe Research & Technology (R&T) team in Filton.
We are working in several projects for airframe for the long-term objective of Airbus of a zero-emission flight. To achieve this goal, you will work on projects developing the mechanical system installation of the fuel cell components.
Our objective is the technology leadership for airframe based on a wide Engineering knowledge and experience in developing innovative solutions and working in a dynamic agile way in multidisciplinary and transnational teams.
Tasks & accountabilities
As part of a highly motivated Airbus team you will be responsible for performing the development of the mechanical system installation for the hydrogen distribution components. The development of the design principles combining a high level of safety and efficiency with an easy assembly and in service operation will be your main task. In addition you will be responsible to define, follow up and interpret the results of the required tests. All tasks will require a strong collaboration with the manufacturing experts and the system modelling and architecture experts.
You be involved in using new tools and methods.
All the expected tasks require a high level of innovation spirit, flexibility in the way of thinking and an open mind set.
This role can involve regular travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
  • Educated to a 5 years’ degree in Engineering,
  • Experience in mechanical system installation required
  • Experience in CATIA V5 or 3DX beneficial,
  • Open minded spirit and Problem solving oriented mindset,
  • Team spirit and strong communication skills is a must,
  • English at negotiation level.
