As the GRAHAM business continues to grow and develop, we are looking for enthusiastic Year Out Design Co-Ordinator to join the team in the Midlands on a variety of Projects. The successful candidate will work on project(s) providing support to our existing Design Management Team.

Good technical knowledge, creative thinking and team working are essential components of the job role.

As a Year Out Design Co-Ordinator, you will be working with one of our experienced Design Managers to assist in overseeing different aspects of our projects while developing your own understanding. The suitable candidate will be working towards an Architecture / Construction Management / Project Management degree and will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and be able to work as part of a team

  • Have an understanding of the design process.
  • Assist in managing the design process, with a high focus on buildability and efficiency.
  • Assist in managing a detailed design and procurement programme considering all of the design interdependencies prevalent on a construction project and linked to construction activities.
  • Assist in monitor and reporting on the design programme on a regular basis.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining a detailed Information Release Schedule
  • Assist in regular design and technical meetings to ensure the design is developed in accordance with budget, programme, and technical constraints.
  • Assist in investigating and analysing alternative specifications to ensure compliance and equivalency with Contract Requirements.
  • Assist in managing the RFI process.
  • Assist in managing the flow of design information
  • Assist in preparing and updating the Design Workbook on a regular basis
  • Assist in the preparation of the design aspect of subcontract tender enquiry packages as required.
  • Assist in the Management of discharge of Statutory Conditions e.g., Building Control, Planning, NHBC, Secure by Design
  • Assist in Coordination of BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes requirements.
  • Undertake any other duties which may be required by management.
