Primary School located in Skelmersdale looking to secure a Year 2 Teacher on a full time basis from January

Your New Company

Hays Education work closely with a number of primary schools located in and around the Skelmersdale area and we are currently looking to recruit a Year 2 Class teacher to work in one of these schools. The role is set to commence from January through until Easter with the potential for this to be extended. This is a good-sized class with no major SEN or behaviour concerns but does contain a range of pupils from different backgrounds, with various levels of ability, making this an ideal class for a newly qualified teacher. The school is rated OFSTED good and has an established senior leadership team who will offer ongoing guidance and support if needed.

Your new role

Like any full time class teaching role, you will be taking on full responsibilities for this Year 2 class. This will include planning and preparing engaging lessons, setting assessments and marking work to ensure you are tracking pupil progress as well as attending parents evenings and staff meetings. The school are keen to secure a reliable, passionate and dedicated individual who will strive to meet the needs of the class. The school are happy for both experienced teachers and ECTs to apply and will look into supporting the ECT induction programme.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have good knowledge of the KS1 Curriculum. You need to be a good team player, have good time management and behaviour management skills. NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply for the role.
