Are you an experienced and dynamic individual seeking an exciting opportunity? Look no further! Our client, a prominent member of a vast family-owned conglomerate affiliated with one of the world’s foremost shipping enterprises, is actively recruiting for a Yacht Operations Manager.
Yacht Operations Manager Duties
Based in Fareham, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing yacht operations, ensuring seamless coordination between technical teams and various departments such as compliance, crewing, recruitment, corporate services, and finance. Your primary objective will be to uphold client expectations with precision and punctuality. This role encompasses international travel, interspersed with office-based responsibilities during non-travel periods.
Experience Required
- Extensive experience in yacht operations at a senior command level.
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) or ability to renew.
- Proven adeptness in verbal and written communication, liaising effectively with stakeholders ranging from peers, suppliers, shipyards, to legal and financial entities.
- Demonstrated familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing maritime operations.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
- Working knowledge of key maritime conventions including STCW, SOLAS, Maritime Labour, and MARPOL.
- Certification as a Qualified Internal Auditor for Quality Management Systems.
- Accreditation as a Qualified Company Security Officer.
- Possession of core values such as honesty, openness, compassion, leadership, and respect.
- Resilient self-starter, equally adept at working autonomously and within a team framework.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of fostering transparent and candid dialogue across all organisational levels.
