Airswift has been tasked by one of our key clients to seek a Shutdown Planner to join them in Aberdeen, United Kingdom on a 12-month renewable contractwith one of our biggest clients in the oil and gas industry. Hybrid working schedule.As part of the Shutdown team, provide planning assurance support by ensuring that all shutdown plans are effectively prepared in a consistent manner in accordance with requirements of the Shutdown StandardAccountabilities
  • To be the Shutdown team focal point for all shutdown and planning coordination.
  • Critically evaluating and challenging the asset planning and coordination strategy leading up to and during shut downs.
  • Maintain a firm understanding of the threat Cyber Attacks pose in both regular IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology / industrial automation) environments and the potential consequences of such attacks
Key Duties
  • Development and management of a uniform and consistent process for planning using primavera for all assets
  • Development and management of a uniform and consistent Work Breakdown Structure for all assets
  • Development and management of a uniform and consistent reporting process for all assets, including ‘S’ curves
  • Evaluate & challenge assets shutdown scheduling to ensure the planning is thoroughly optimised
  • Assist Assets with problem solving scheduling activities to ensure the planning is thoroughly optimised
  • Analyse asset work lists to ensure only critical shutdown works are being planned
  • Attend PMSD Workshops to risk and rank all activities in the work list
  • Develop a uniform and consistent action tracker register for all assets
  • Attend and participate at the PMSD stage gate reviews
  • Develop a uniform and consistent risk register for all assets
  • Monitor progress of all assets shut down activities and milestones
  • Organise and manage workshops and or meetings to optimise the shutdown plans
  • Conduct site visits onshore as and when required and produce reports in a timely manner
  • Review and comment when necessary on technical documents produced by Vendors, 3rd party contractors and Company’s Engineering Contractors
  • Participate with Site Operation Team to develop proposals to overcome deficiencies in existing planning
  • Participate in risk assessment, Root Cause Analysis, safe operation assessments
  • When required review and comment on prestart up audits prior to completion of shutdowns
  • Support and assist the Shutdown Assurance Manager to deliver the goals set by the Company’s leadership team, shareholders and partners
  • Review and comment on the asset PMSD resource plans to ensure suitable resources are available to execute the works, in accordance with the agreed plan
  • Input and support to daily and weekly co-ordination meetings
  • Monitor progress and report on performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Ensure assets are aware of each other’s planned outages to ensure maximum efficiencies of shared resources.
  • Ensuring appropriate flow of information to and from asset to optimise response times and provide right first time solutions
  • Regular reporting to UK Shutdown Manager to ensure awareness of short term plans and operational support issues
  • Regular contact with asset support teams to ensure priorities are aligned with corporate PMSD targets
Education Attainment & Accreditation
  • HNC or equivalent with significant experience in a similar role as a shutdown planner
  • Proficient in the use of Primavera planning software.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook and Power point
  • Competent in use of Maximo Maintenance Management System
Professional Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrates general management skills, drive and performance delivery focus
  • Experience of all mechanical equipment, utility and process systems for offshore platforms
  • Experience of Nitrogen Helium and alternative medium Leak Testing
  • A detailed knowledge of industry standards, specifications and best practices for shutdowns

  • Strong safety awareness
