Recra are working in partnership with a reputable and well-established fleet management company who are keen to add a Workshop Foreman to their team in Burton. The position is for an experienced HGV - Shift Foreman responsible for organising and conducting a working shift, maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standard supporting the management team.Candidates Tasks
  • Organise team workloads and communicate with Shift.
  • Communication with other Foremen, Workshop Controller/ Service Dept and Depot manager.
  • Health and Safety of shift members.
  • To ensure all paperwork and general workshop duties are completed.
  • All work is carried out in the time scale acceptable to the customer.
  • Control of Idle time and productivity.
Skills/experience
  • Good leadership qualities.
  • High level of technical knowledge and ability in mechanical repair.
  • Able to help with technical problems.
  • Calm approach to organising a busy workshop.
Ideal Skills
  • Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles.
  • Current driving licence.
  • IRTEC inspection licence.
  • Previous Foreman role/ experience.
  • HGV Class 1 would be an advantage.
