HSDC has an exciting opportunity for a Work Based Trainer to work with apprentices in the workplace. The post holder will coach and train Catering apprentices ensuring they have the required knowledge, skills and behaviours to pass End Point Assessment.

HSDC has an excellent track record in delivering apprenticeship programmes and the successful applicant will use this as a platform to build on.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Hospitality and Catering and will be experienced, committed and professional. The role will include all aspects of delivering Catering apprenticeships, employer engagement and traditional apprenticeship assessor activities as required, working closely with the cross-college apprenticeship team. Additional to the role a great opportunity to deliver online short courses to adults wanting to enter the profession.

Applicants will ideally have working knowledge of the standards Hospitality and Catering at level 2 and 3 and assessment practice with an assessor qualification and a background of assessing or teaching across vocational programmes. However, applicants from industry looking to make the step into education will also be considered as full training and qualifications can be provided.

The post holder will be required to travel around Hampshire visiting employer premises, so a full driving licence and own car is essential.
