About The Role

We have a vacancy for a Waste Operative to join our team based in Swadlincote working 15 hours per week Saturday & Sunday from 6am to 2pm

Dealing with/moving waste across a busy distribution site, you’ll ensure the smooth running of the baler machines in your area and carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties to keep the baler area a clear and safe workplace.

Main Duties:

  • Ensure the smooth running of baler machines in your area (training will be provided)
  • Assist with rectifying and reporting any issues arising
  • Ensure safe working practices and company procedures are always complied with
  • Ensure an excellent service is constantly delivered
  • Carry out cleaning duties and general housekeeping of the baler area.
  • Ensuring waste is moved to correct locations across site

You’ll need:


  • Experience with working with balers is preferred but full training will be provided if necessary.
  • Cleaning experience is preferred but full training will be provided if necessary.
  • Current FLT licence essential
  • Experience dealing in moving waste would be desirable.
  • You’ll need your own transport due to site location and shift times
