RPS are seeking an experienced Waste Water Asset Team Leader to lead a 3-person team, carrying out investigation and drain tracing works.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role focuses on investigation of wastewater assets such as manhole chambers, pumping stations, combined sewer overflows and wastewater treatment plants, gathering information such as measurements, configurations and dimensions of the assets. Works will be undertaken in public, residential and commercial property. Previous experience in a drainage related role is essential.

This is a customer facing role requiring excellent customer service skills. Applicants must have exceptional organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines. Please note that the work will be outdoors in all weather conditions and will involve the manual handling of manhole chamber covers and other heavy items. Due to the nature of the work, flexibility regarding working hours is essential. This includes occasional Saturday work, early starts and late finishes as required. Overtime rates are paid accordingly.

Who we’re looking for?
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to complete paperwork accurately and annotate plans
  • A minimum of 2years’ experience in a drainage related role, coupled with the ability to accurately navigate the drainage network using the GIS mapping provided
  • Detailed knowledge of both public sewer networks and domestic drainage systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and accurate record-keeping capabilities
  • Demonstrable track record of reliability and flexibility
  • Full UK driving licence
  • IOSH working safely qualification is an advantage
