An exciting opportunity has arisen in this very busy environment on the night shift on a 4 on 4 off basis .The purpose of the role is to support the Operations manager in achieving the highest standards of business performance. The main responsibilities for this role are to Manage a team of Warehouse Operatives, control WMS system, Manage the operation to agreed service / performance levels and cost targets.

Main Accountabilities

To ensure that all customer orders are picked accurately, efficiently, and effectively so as to meet agreed customer service targets.

To ensure that all orders are assembled, packed and checked accurately, efficiently so as to meet agreed customer service targets.

To ensure that all deliveries into the DC are handled, checked and put away correctly and booked into WMS within 12 hours

Ensure that all stock and problem logic issues on WMS are dealt with promptly and in accordance with agreed processes

Control the day-to-day processing of all movements within the WMS system. Control system security, ensuring password protection and access levels are correctly set up and maintained.

Report all faults and system processing errors to Line Manager

Provide order shortage information to the relevant customer without delay.

Control “PI”. Assist in the reconciliation of physical counts against stock held on the CP WMS

Provide management information in terms of performance, output and efficiency.

Liaise with Customer Services regarding stock availability, shortages via management reports from WMS

Maintain a constant awareness of stock availability, production, promotions, current / future quarantine release, liaising with customer services.

Undertake operational audits continually in order to assess skill competency of operatives and ensure that the quality of work meets the standard required to achieve agreed customer service levels.

To ensure that agreed Key Performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved in the warehouse and identify areas for continued improvement and cost savings. The KPI performance must be discussed with operatives on a regular basis and if required take the necessary action to rectify.

Ensure the warehouse and yard are maintained in a clean and tidy manner.

Ensure that all warehouse staff are aware of and adhere to all relevant Health and Safety and fire regulations.

Ensure that all warehouse staff are trained and capable of carrying out their work and have an understanding of the company’s objectives.

To organise the available resources, including - manpower, to ensure that these are used in the most efficient and productive manner.

To promote co-operation and teamworking at all levels to ensure a flexible approach to problem solving and operational issues and to maintain a harmonious and productive working environment.
