During the apprenticeship you will attain Cat C license and Cat C+E . You will also , Over the course of the apprenticeship , gain FLT license , Shunt licence, Warehousing experience.

You will be required to sign a training agreement committing to fee repayment if you exit the business within 36 months.

Role Requirements

Once qualified the key part of the role is to deliver goods safely to stores and returning to depot according to the plan and adhering to all legal requirements and safety.

Accountable for understanding and adherence to the route books/schedule.

Accountable for ensuring the correct load & paperwork is on board.

Responsible for ensuring the tractor & trailer unit are road legal.

Responsible for filling in the check sheets and reporting any defects.

Responsible for identifying and logging defects into the defect books.

Responsible for informing the Depot of any delays on in their day.

Responsible for adhering to all Tachograph and working time law.

Responsible for the safe unloading of goods at store

To act as an ambassador for the company by driving and behaving responsibly at all times

To get the best out of our vehicles by driving with care, forward planning and fuel efficiency

Ensuring load security and safety

Knowledge And Experience Required

Full car licence – essential

You have good geographic knowledge of UK.

You have experience driving in the UK

You have an ability to work without direct supervision

You have excellent communication skills

You have an ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure

Educational requirements

Qualifications

The entry criteria for an L2 Apprenticeship is minimum English and maths qualifications to accept, with certificated evidence, is any of the following

GCSE Grade D/3 (grades E/2 and F/1 may be acceptable however, this would be decided on a case by case basis using BKSB skill analysis).

L1 English and maths Functional skills

Adult literacy and numeracy at L1.

You will have to complete a BKSB Diagnostic Assessment at the start of the programme.
