Siemens is creating its first UK based Rail Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire. With an initial contract to assemble nearly 50 trains to service the Piccadilly line on the London Underground we are starting to recruit up to 300 skilled technical and support colleagues at in our Manufacturing Facility.

In the near future follow-on work is expected to bring this number of trains into the hundreds, along with an expansion on the site into maintenance and overhaul activities displaying a long-term commitment to the area and growth in employment and career opportunities.

We are now recruiting our Warehouse Operatives to join us at our new Rail Manufacturing Facility in Goole. This role is crucial for the smooth functioning of Manufacturing Process with a potential to grow into Warehouse Supervisor in future.

As part of the selection process, you will completing an online assessment and if successful you will be invited to the Assessment Centre at Goole on 27th and 28th September.

You will make an impact:

  • You will be a part of a large materials handling team that will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the end-to-end materials handling life cycle within our brand-new assembly facility.
  • You will ensure that safety, process and quality inspection requirements are achieved at every stage and materials movement.
  • Within your range of activities, you will ensure products are picked, packed, and built up into assembly kits, ensuring that all materials arrive with your assembly colleagues to support the production schedule.

You will demonstrate:

  • Suitable experience of working within a warehouse environment in a similar industrial environment.
  • An ability to always focus on Safety.
  • Experience using a variety of automated stock management tools.

It would be beneficial to have:

  • Experience performing and supporting stock counts
  • Experience with SAP (Or similar WMS systems)
  • FLT or similar MHE experience
