Warehouse Operative/Driver | Chorley, Lancashire |42.5 per week| Starting £21,000

Established in 1995 our client is a family-owned and operated business. They pride themselves on providing quality products at competitive prices combined with a service that is second to none. What they do is operate from purpose-designed distribution and trade counter facilities at Chorley East Business Park, Chorley. They carry large comprehensive stocks to ensure that orders are executed in full and on time. They deliver throughout the North West twice daily serving a large Customer Base.

You will work 8am to 5pm with a half hour lunch break. You will work one Saturday morning a month 8am to 12pm, after a satisfactory probation period.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Driving experience
  • IVEKO Daily vans used
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Over 25 years (as per insurance)
  • Fork lift truck licence an advantage but not essential
  • Experience in building plastics an advantage but not essential
  • Must be personable and presentable
  • Honest and reliable
  • Punctual

What will your role as a Warehouse Operative/Driver look like?

  • Picking materials for delivery
  • Delivering within a 50-mile radius of offices in Chorley
  • Offloading and putting away deliveries from suppliers
  • Serving on trade counter dealing with cash and credit card payments
  • Dealing with phone enquiries/orders
  • Keeping the warehouse tidy
