Introduction:

Caledonian are currently looking to expand its Warehouse operations to meet the growing demands on the business to support its production growth. As such the need to increase its staffing levels is a must.

We are currently looking for Warehouse Operative (s) to work in a vibrant busy Warehouse, based over two sites next to each other in Carlton on Trent. We are keen to speak with those who have experience working in busy manufacturing environments, or experience with picking and packing or indeed any one with the will and “can do” attitude who would like to try a new field.

The Role:

The Warehouse Operative will be required to work Monday to Friday. The role does begin immediately and involves general warehouse duties. It does involve 3 different areas of operation covering inbound and outbound logistics within the warehouse and steel yard for which you will be required to rotate around all of these positions periodically between two sites. Please note, lifting (manual handling) will be involved.

  • Pick Products
  • Quality Inspecting
  • Stacking
  • Labelling
  • Working in Home Fulfilment Centre department, loading and unloading containers
  • Palletising
  • Heavy lifting
  • General Warehouse duties

Requirements for this role:

The Warehouse Operative role will require Safety Boots, Hard Hat and a High Visibility Vest as well as cold / wet weather clothing all provided by the company.

Qualifications required:

  • Good communication both written and verbal English
  • A FLT licence for counterbalance would be advantageous but not essential as on job training will be provided on completion of probation process.
  • Able to demonstrate basic IT skills as IT use will be required for process material onto and off inventory operating system.

All training and development will be provided to set you up for success within the role.

Hours & Pay:

Monday to Thursday – 07:30 till 16:00

Friday – 07:30 to 15:00

The hourly rates are:

Warehouse Operative

£10.00 per hour Monday to Friday
