Defence Equipment
The Warehouse Operative role is based within our Defence Equipment business area.

Defence equipment stores, maintains, repairs and overhauls military vehicles and equipment so the UK army is able to train and deploy in a moment. As well as supporting vehicles that are already in service, the team carries out vehicle assembly integration and tests new vehicles.

The role
The difference our new Warehouse Operative will make
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be working within the site warehouse environment and undertaking the receipt, storage and issuing functions of the logistics supply-chain in support of material requirements of Babcock DSG operations.

Day to day, you will be actioning picking activity in response to Babcock customer demands, ensuring accuracy, correct condition and sufficient packaging for onward dispatch and distribution.

Essential experience

• Previous warehouse experience is desirable
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Good time management
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines on the picks
• Must hold or have the ability to obtain SC Security Clearance
