The Little Food Company has been a proud supplier to the foodservice industry for over 20 years. Based in Oswestry, Shropshire we are an independent delivered wholesale food supplier who provides services to caterers across North Wales, The North West and The Midlands.

We are seeking a hardworking and focused individual to join our Warehouse Days Team as a Warehouse Operative.

What will you be doing?

• Assisting with the warehouse in accepting goods inwards and putting products into stock in a timely manner to ensure they are available for picking (night shift)
• Working closely with the operations team to ensure pick locations are adequate for average sales.
• You will assist with any collection customers.
• Support the picking team when required to ensure all orders are picked and ready for next day delivery.
• Taking responsibility for the general cleanliness of the depot including waste removal – general waste, cardboard, wrap, recycling, etc.
• Taking responsibility for stock rotation and helping with regular stock takes.

Skills and experience required:

No formal qualification is required for this role as on the job training will be provided. However, the following skills and experience would be beneficial:

• Product knowledge (desirable)
• Forklift truck experience (desirable)
• Full driving license (desirable)
• Manual handling experience (desirable)
• Awareness of stock control processes (desirable)

When will I work?

You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Term-time only.

What does "term-time only" mean?

You will only be required to be on shift for 39 weeks per year (school term time), for the other 13 weeks (school holidays) you will not be required to work, however you will be paid pro rata, meaning you still get paid monthly throughout the year, regardless of whether you are on shift or not.

What will I get paid?

£17,427.45 per annum
