Role: Warehouse Operations Manager

Location: Skelmersdale, Lancashire

Salary:£45-55k

Benefits package:Staff discount, Pension, Perbox Employee Benefits scheme

Shift Pattern:Monday - Friday 9-5.30 with Some flexibility to meet weekend teams

Are you an experienced, motivated and driven Warehouse Operations Manager looking for a challenging and exciting new opportunity with an established, successful and growing business? Our client is expanding further into international markets, they are a truly market leading, well known and popular e-commerce brand.

To be successful you must be a true leader, visible on the shop-floor and able to demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and the ability to manage, transform and improve warehouse operations on a similar scale to ensure continual improvement in efficiency, time & cost saving.

Role:

To manage multiple warehouses and large teams in a fast moving environment. In this role you will be focused on strategy and the long term growth of distribution centers as well as supporting in the day to day running of 5 warehouses and nearly 600 staff.

Skills & Experience:

  • Be a natural and confident people manager who is able to develop rapport, respect & trust
  • Happy to lead from the front and be visible to the workforce on the shop floor
  • Focus on process improvement, efficiency and continual improvement
  • Have experience of creating strategic plans and processes to focus on long term growth
  • Significant experience in running a commercial logistics & warehouse function in a large organisation
  • Develop and maintain a safety first culture in an ISO9001 & OHSAS 18001 / ISO45001 /GDPR compliant environment
  • Review targets for staff, provide proposals to management and identify efficient ways for staff to meet and exceed those targets.
  • Responsible for proposals of annual budget process and regular monitoring of expenditures.
