Volunteers needed to help in our busy sortroom.

If you have time to give to help us raise valuable funds for the vital work of the British Heart Foundation, we want to hear from you!

Our store in Central Bristol needs volunteers to join the team. There are many reasons why people volunteer with us. For some it’s to meet new people, whilst others want to gain work experience. What bonds them is a determination to fight cardiovascular disease, the UK’s single biggest killer.

Volunteering can help you to:

· Learn new skills or develop your existing skills further

· Put your skills to good use in a new setting

· Gain valuable work experience and enhance your CV

· Make new friends

· Build your confidence

What we can offer you:

· A comprehensive induction training and introduction to the roles

· A flexible way to volunteer that fits in with your lifestyle and other commitments

· On-going support as you volunteer

· Learn life-saving skills by completing CPR training.

· Reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses

· We can provide regular volunteers with a work reference on request and the chance to study a funded NVQ if certain criteria is met.

· Helping us raise money for life changing research by keeping our shopfloor stocked

· Help out the back in a quieter space to sort all the donations that come in

· Share your love of books, music or accessories as a department volunteer, sorting out, pricing and displaying items in your chosen department

*Please note we are unable to accept volunteers aged under 16 and we cannot accept volunteers with unspent criminal convictions or who are subject to criminal registers/orders*

Giving your time helps us to save lives. Our volunteers are vital in keeping our shops open, and help our fight for every heartbeat, making a huge difference in their local shops.
