We are looking for an individual who cares about championing the cause of Young People with experience of grant & income generation to join our Board of Trustees.

What will you be doing?

Didcot TRAIN - Inspiring Young People, registered CIO charity no.1176258 works with and for all young people particularly aged 11-18 in Didcot and its immediate surrounding area, especially those who, for whatever reason, are having a tough time. Our vision is for all the young people of Didcot to be empowered to grow into social and personal stability.

TRAIN’s work includes the following activities
  • Group and one to one mentoring of young people
  • Regular and sustained detached and outreach youth work
  • Term-time and school holiday activities and residential trips
  • Life skills development sessions
  • Youth participations and social action programmes
  • Life transforming Explore More Programme in Querubi Domaine SE France
We are looking for an individual who cares about championing the cause of Young People with experience of grant & income generation to join our board. This will include working with fellow Trustees to shape the strategic and developmental direction of the charity’s operations and to produce trust and grant applications which can sustain our work. We welcome interest from those looking to share established knowledge as well as those looking to develop their own skills and experience. Most importantly, we are seeking an individual who cares about the futures of young people.

Commitments include attendance at a monthly trustee meeting. There is an anticipated time commitment of 8 hours per month. Income generation is the lifeblood of "TRAIN" and critical to our ability to effectively execute our Business Plans and provide stability and continuity of our good works.
