Our Fundraising Volunteers plan and run events, develop links with local organisations and deliver awareness activities to promote the needs of people affected by MS.

We’re the MS Society – a community of people living with MS, scientists, campaigners, listeners, organisers, ambassadors and fundraisers. Our volunteers are a key part of achieving our goals and their support is vital. Join us.

About This Opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Fundraising Volunteer for the Coventry and District Group. The Coventry Group provides advice, support and services to over 100 people affected by MS in the area. You’ll be joining a small but welcoming team to help them expand their reach.

As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will plan and deliver a range of fundraising activities for the group to help support the work of the MS Society locally. Activities
  • Maximising funds raised as part of a team or fundraising group
  • Assisting at fundraising events throughout the year
  • Developing links with local organisations and participating in fundraising opportunities
  • Assisting with compliance issues
  • Assisting in completing and signing finance declarations, with the Finance Volunteer
  • Recruiting and inducting other volunteers involved in fundraising as part of the group
  • Coordinating and supporting other volunteers involved in fundraising

About You

You’ll have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll be a good organiser with plenty of creative ideas, preferably with fundraising, sales or event management experience.
