We are the national strategic partner for SEND with the Careers Enterprise Company. We work with SEND schools across London to improve early career development for young people with special needs.

What will you be doing?

What will you be doing?

This volunteer role gives you the opportunity to give back to your community - to those less fortunate. Support your local school, offering your knowledge and career guidance. In partnership with the Enterprise Co-Ordinator strategically create career plans. The opportunity to share your expertise with local schools and provide insight into business. We have a network of Enterprise Advisers already in place across other regions and there could be networking opportunities for you. You’ll meet with leaders within our network and build close relationships with senior managers and leaders at a special school local to you.

Why you?

You have experience of developing strategy and have held responsibility at work, and you’re good with people. You’re intrigued, maybe have lived experience or know about special schools or maybe not, it’s fine but you have the desire to overcome any initial anxiety (many have it) to learn and get involved, helping senior teams in special schools build their careers strategy, improve their careers proposition through brokering more employers into special schools AND you want a volunteering opportunity that rewards you. You could have a background in any industry and currently be employed, self-employed or retired. You’ll be keen for the most vulnerable in our society to have a successful outcome.

Why now?

The Mayor wants to improve outcomes for young people with .special needs and we are going to work with special schools across London.

Who is Talentino! (great name – Italian for talent!)

Our background is rooted in business, we didn’t set out to work with special schools but nine years ago we started with our first school and now we work across the country. We hold an annual conference and are the national strategic partner to SEND with the Careers Enterprise Company. We are the provider for the GLA lean network tasked with working with SEND schools across London around improving early career development for students with special needs.

This is a new and unique volunteering opportunity, 3-8 days a year during term time, where you will gain skills, get them accredited, engage with the most vulnerable in society, and maybe, just maybe, help change lives forever.

When - we’d love you to join us immediately.

Young people with special needs deserve the same chances as everyone else - be brilliant and make that happen!
