Job content

People who have language problems following a stroke have the opportunity of attending a support group. Volunteers will be involved in running small groups under the guidance of the co-ordinator. They will also work on a one to one with the client in their own home environment with the guidance of the co-ordinator. The aim is to promote conversation and to help people develop new skills and rebuild their confidence in a supportive and non-threatening atmosphere.

Patient, good listener, good communication skills. clear speaker, ability to work in a team and be able to motivate.

Hours: Flexible Mon, Wed or Fri
