The successful candidate will be a member of the Corporate Tax Group – Europe, with a focus on supporting Accenture’s growth through acquisition, and will report to the ASG/Gallia Tax Director. The role can be based in London, Amsterdam or Frankfurt.

As a V&A Tax Manager, you will:

The successful candidate will support the growth of Accenture in the ASG region through the provision of tax advice on acquisitions. The role involves the scoping and management of due diligence to be performed, in the majority of cases, by external advisers and the effective reporting of tax risks and proposals to mitigate such risks. Coordination of the post-acquisition integration strategy and tax support of acquisitions are other key aspects of the role.

An essential element of the role is effective team working with Client Deal Transaction Services (CDTS) Legal, Finance, Treasury and HR throughout the lifecycle of acquisitions from assessment of targets to post acquisition integration. Effective communication both within the Global Tax Group (GTG) and the wider business is key.

The role requires the ability to:

  • Work effectively within the European Tax team, interact effectively with both tax and non- tax colleagues, the Client (as required), CDTS, Legal, Treasury, Finance, HR and external advisers

  • Assist in the development and efficient maintenance of processes to manage V&A activities across the business

  • Effectively manage/coordinate the projects assigned, related to the acquisition and related integration of entities.

  • Support and provide technical advice to Country Controllership, Legal, Financial Reporting as required.

  • Manage the input of external professional advisers

  • Support other functions and objectives of the GTG as appropriate.
  • We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • University degree in accounting, tax or a recognized post graduate tax qualification.

  • Experience in acquisitions would be an advantage

  • Experience in German, Austrian and/or Swiss taxation would be a significant advantage
  • The job requires a background equivalent to an experienced manager in a Big 4 tax department, law firm or corporate tax department. In addition, the job requires the following attributes:

  • Strong analytical and technical skills;

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in German and English;

  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage a number of diverse projects;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint);

  • Commitment to excel as an international tax professional;
