The Service Technician / Mechanic Opportunity: As Service Technician you will be a member of the Aftersales Team and will report to the Service Manager. You will carry out a variety of workshop work in an efficient and safe manner. Your main aim is to meet customer requirements and maximise workshop utilisation and productivity. What your day might look like: + Carrying out vehicle services and repairs in accordance with brand technical standards

  • Working in accordance with brand and dealership processes
  • Liaising directly with customers where appropriate
  • Providing support to less experienced colleagues
  • Attending regular training to update technical skills
  • Working as a full member of the workshop and dealership teams
  • Ensuring that your immediate working environment is kept clean and devoid of any working practice which may be hazardous
  • Wearing protective clothing and equipment when appropriate
  • Handling of waste products and hazardous materials About you: Essential:
  • MOT qualification
  • Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • PC, Microsoft, web literate
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Proven track record of individual excellence
  • Highly skilled in fault diagnosis and hold the relevant MOT Tester qualification Desirable:
  • Previous vehicle knowledge and proven skills
  • Previous work experience in a franchise dealership
