We are recruiting for Assistant Greenkeepers.Milford Golf Club located seven miles from the city of Guildford features a wonderful 18-hole course, designed by Alliss and Clark, and a clubhouse that offers a warm welcome to golfers and non-golfers alike.Part of the Crown Golf estate which has seven other golf properties located primarily in the southeast of England. The company provides training opportunities and career progression. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who will complement the existing team ensuring the Club maintains its reputation as a leading golf venue in the area.Our Golf course staff are a hard-working group, enthusiastic and have a range of experience and qualifications, the Club is well resourced, and the team have access to an array of quality machinery to deliver the standards that are expected.Both experienced and those new to Greenkeeping are encouraged to apply, salary dependent on experience.Perks & Benefits

Overview of RoleIdeally candidates will have an NVQ level 2 in Greenkeeping or sports turf equivalent, along with spraying and chainsaw certificates. Experience in greenkeeping, machinery operation and health and safety knowledge will put you at an advantage, a strong work ethic is essential.You must enjoy working as part of a team, supporting both your senior and junior colleagues, have strong communication skills and a level of fitness that enables you to work outside and be mobile for large parts of the day.
  • Ensuring that the course is presented in the best possible condition.
  • Sufficient work experience to operate ride on turf maintenance machinery and use of common hand tools.
  • Daily course set up, raking bunkers, repairs to divots, and changing holes.
  • Maintenance of Clubhouse and surrounds.
  • To attend training courses, which are identified as being necessary for the performance of relevant tasks to the position held.
  • Tree work and conservation activities.
  • Have pride in your work and eye for detail.
