Full Job Description VEHICLE ENGINEEROur Vehicle Engineers are in the driving seat of our vehicle production

Our Vehicle Engineers are the conduit between vehicle design and the reality of final production, working to make our vehicle assembly processes some of the best in the world and ensuring our cars reach customers with optimum quality and efficiency.
Daily problem-solving means working flexibly and autonomously, but with the support of a world-class team of experts in production, maintenance, design, and engineering by your side. In the role of Vehicle Engineer you will need to think fast in challenging situations, as others look to you for solutions and innovations in moments of pressure. You may also enjoy working on exciting new model projects where you will play a direct role in the future of the business.

International/Domestic Project Involvement
No two days will be the same here at Nissan, with involvement in projects such as new model development and global initiatives. International travel may be a part of the role, with opportunity for visits to Europe and further afield. Who do you need to be?
As with all of our Engineers, you will have 4+ years operating as an Engineer, with strong skills across data analysis, tech know-how, project management and schedule control as your base foundation, along with relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience
You will also be:
- A natural innovator with a curious mind, looking to improve processes and efficiencies in all that you do and an analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working autonomously, managing your own workload and responsible for meeting your goals and challenges
- You will have an understanding of Nissan Production Way and Douki Seisan principles
- Happy to collaborate and communicate daily with peers and other departments at all levels and cross-functionally, able to present your ideas clearly and negotiate in a balanced but effective manner
- Comfortable with working on MS Office and have experience or willing to learn CAD systems of AutoCAD / NC / Siemens NX.
- You will lead shop technical improvement activities focussed on vehicle Quality and performance
- You will implement key changes to the manufacturing processes
- You will be generating and assuring process documentation
- You will be involved in mechanical tooling design (training will be provided if required)
- You will be carrying out process confirmation, design change planning and adoption
- You will manage assembly sequence and process changes
