Devon Norse represents the strategic partnership between Devon County Council and Norse Group for the delivery of commercial services to a developing portfolio of local clients and businesses.

We delivery a range of commercial services to and are currently looking to recruit a Site Manager to help oversee and drive the service. Working alongside the Area Manager and our client partners, you will be responsible for implementing best practice and reviewing service delivery to ensure quality and health and safety standards are met.

You will be the main point of contact on-site for the operational team and any sub-contractors, and you will manage daily operations of all parties. Ensuring the team have the right training, equipment and materials will be essential for both periodic and ad-hoc requirements on site. It will be your responsibility to regularly monitor site maintenance and safety through risk assessment and implementing quality standards.

This is a part time, temporary contract offering – you will be working flexible hours Monday to Friday. The hourly rate for this position is £12.15 per hour.

Our Ideal Candidate

Whilst there will be support and training available in the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate some key knowledge, skills and experience for the role, including;
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements in a cleaning / facilities management environment, with working knowledge of M&E systems
  • Proven experience in a previous facilities or site management role, demonstrating an ability to manage multi-disciplined and multi-site teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage with a variety of people and deliver instructions or information clearly
  • Ability to define, implement and monitor best working practices which meet quality and safety standards
  • Good leadership skills, capable of identifying opportunities to develop individuals as well as managing performance
