This post is integral within our newly formed Person Centred Care Cancer Team. Our perfect candidate will be inspirational in leading on the development and the delivery of patient involvement opportunities.You will be a professional, energetic and an ambitious team member who has the drive and passion to put BCUHB at the forefront of user involvement for Cancer patients.You will have experience of working with and engaging patients, carers and communities and will have a keen interest in patient and public involvement, community engagement or volunteer management, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships quickly with staff across an organisation, and beyond. You will be working closely with the North Wales Cancer Patient Forum, BCUHB staff of all levels and third sector, whilst aligning our objectives at Health Board level to strategic priorities by linking with the Wales Cancer Network.Main duties of the jobThe User Involvement Facilitator role will he Act as a strategic lead for user involvement, monitoring, advising and participating in the development and impact of user involvement activity throughout Cancer.The post holder will work as part of a focussed team responsible for delivering Person Centred Care (PCC) projects for the Health Board, involving the public, staff and partners. The post holder will be expected to take responsibility for overall co-ordination and delivery of engagement and communication activities as defined in the WCPES action plan, using tact and persuasion skills to gain the support and engagement of staff, –third sector partners and the public.The post holder will work closely with the North Wales Cancer Patient Forum (NWCPF) and third sector partners , to listen and understand what matters to our population and to shape services accordingly.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.Working for our organisationIf you relish a challenge, have a passion to help others or simply fancy a fresh start, then Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales, has all the right ingredients.
