We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to lead our Upper GI cancer clinical nurse specialist team. You will provide specialist nursing advice as the clinical expert, and support and facilitate the delivery of high quality, safe care, which is patient centred and encompasses a holistic approach to patients with Upper Gastrointestinal cancer, working closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team.

You will be pivotal in the implementation of change and future developments. With this in mind, we are looking for a proactive individual with a positive attitude and have the drive and passion to create an inspirational working and learning environment. You will head a team which includes Band 6 nurses, working closely with a Macmillan support worker.

The role of the successful candidate will be to consistently drive excellent clinical quality standards by providing visible clinical leadership to the team and support them in the delivery of high quality, effective and evidence based care. The focus being on patient experience, patient safety and providing assurance that standards are met for every patient, every time.

You will be provided with the opportunity for further professional development and support to embrace the challenge of working in a diverse clinical environment.

Chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments in Taunton are provided in the state of the art Beacon Centre.
