Stratton Mills is an employment business that provides Personnel around the UK. We have a great opportunity for Upholsterers for our client based in Ilkeston. Successful candidates will be offered full-time shifts on a permanent basis.

  • Hours: Monday - Thursday 7 am - 4 pm, Friday 7 am - 12 pm

Duties For The Upholsterer Role
  • Working with high-quality products, and leather products.
  • Making deep buttoning.
  • Using power and hand tools to cut fabric to the framework in the assembly of furniture.
  • Attach finishes, including buttons, trim, and other decorative accessories, to complete orders according to specifications.
  • Measure and cut fabric or leather pieces with the aid of patterns or stencils and industrial cutting tools to precise sizes and dimensions.
Ideal Upholsterer Candidate
  • Must have a high degree of upholstery skills, and experience in deep buttoning and traditional upholstery techniques.
  • Fully skilled and experienced upholsterer.
  • Physically fit to lift heavy loads.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and efficient production environment.
  • Have pride in attention to detail to minimize errors.
  • Must be able to work individually or as part of a team.
  • Great level of communication skills.
  • The ability to learn new skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
