Job description

Skills Direct Ltd are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading manufacturing company, based in Trowbridge. They are seeking for Upholsterers to join their growing team.

What you will be doing:

measuring the furniture frame and preparing patterns
cutting out the fabric to pattern
covering frames with padding and fabric using sewing machines, stitches, staples, tacks and glue
using decorative techniques such as fringing, piping and buttoning
various other duties

What you will need to succeed:

Previous Experience isn’t essential
Well-organised, careful, conscientious approach.
Able ty to work under pressure and to deadlines, planning time and priorities.
Excellent communication skills
Good literacy skills and numeracy skills.

What you will receive in return:

Monday to Thursday: 0800-1700
Friday: 0800-1230 (early finish!)
10 minute break 1030
30 minute lunch 1300
10 minute break 1530
