Job description

Skills Direct Ltd are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading manufacturing company, based in Trowbridge. They are seeking for aMIG Welder to join their growing team.

What you will be doing:

Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications.
Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
Testing the strength of each join during and after project completion.
Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required.
Liaising with the line manager or supervisor, reporting any issues, and making suggestions for improvement.

What you will need to succeed:

Previous Welding Experience necessary (advanced welding skills not essential)
Well-organised, careful, conscientious approach.
Able ty to work under pressure and to deadlines, planning time and priorities.
Excellent communication skills
Good literacy skills and numeracy skills.

What you will receive in return:

Monday to Thursday: 0800-1700
Friday: 0800-1230 (early finish!)
10 minute break 1030
30 minute lunch 1300
10 minute break 1530
