Reporting directly to the Regional Head of Financial Institutions, Regional Unit London, you will deliver clear underwriting strategies for the Regional Unit London teams. You will have ownership of selected Key/ Large Accounts. You will also share your expertise and train staff.

In this role you will.....
##Assist and develop targeting strategy for new opportunities in for Financial Institutions
##Train, develop and coach less experienced employees
##Underwrite large new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets
##Negotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions with brokers. Proactively manage capacity
##Underwrite in line with Financial Institutions governance framework - e.g. Underwriting Authorities, global MSU, Underwriting Guidelines, Rules and Principles
##Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and broker negotiations where necessary)
##Positively represent AGCS externally to the market and encourage more junior team members to raise their own profile and that of the team

##You have at least 5 years’ experience underwriting profitable business in the Financial Institutions segment of large corporate international insurance
##Ideally you are CII qualified or equivalent or working towards it
##You have recognized relationships with clients and brokers at peer group level and are well established within your reference market
##You have a specialized understanding of regional / national Financial Institutions insurance markets and the competitor landscape
##You are able to negotiate effectively achieving the best outcome for your portfolio while maintaining positive business relationships with your clients and brokers
##You are capable of leveraging data and analytics to make business more efficient and effective
##You have a good understanding of the legal and regulatory framework
##You can design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings for contracts
