Job content
Duties:Assisting in the administration of plant and transport functions in a busy workshop. This will include face-to-face, telephone and written communication with all levels within the organisation and with external parties such as suppliers, hire companies, statutory bodies, etc. Responsibilities include;- Booking of plant/equipment in and out of the workshop.
- Raising Purchase Orders for the hire of plant/equipment
- Inputting of invoices.
- Running excel costs reports for the contract.
- Weekly stocktakes/plant checks
- Arranging services though the lease companies.
- Liaising with Contract/Site Managers.
- Candidates must be computer literate and, ideally, have a technical background.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Methodical and thorough approach to work
- Organised
- A desire to show initiative
