UK Benefits Manager (UK, Remote)

Location: UK – remote (with possibility of using the Slough Office), open for candidates from whole of UK

Purpose

Responsible for managing benefit programs in the UK and ROI including Health and Pension.

Reports to: Senior Manager, UK Employee Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Day to day management of all aspects of UK and ROI benefits
  • Support design/implementation of all benefits programmes, policies, processes and tools in UK and ROI ensuring regulatory/statutory compliance, cost effective/efficient plan design and delivery
  • Support complex benefits design and harmonisation projects, including costing and modelling exercises, communication plans, development of design proposals and business case development
  • Responsible for monitoring employee engagement in employee benefits and contribute to propositions around increasing engagement where required
  • Regularly monitor the current benefit provision, making recommendations to the Senior Manager, UK Employee Benefits where appropriate
  • Support the Senior Manager, UK Employee Benefits, ensuring effective communication of pension benefits, including benefits statements, member website, newsletters and email campaigns
  • Review and monitor regulatory and best practice developments in DC retirements and ensure appropriate compliance
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, legislation changes, innovation and best practice, emerging technology and tools and evaluate the impact of introducing new methods or products for the company
  • Management of UK benefit spend including budget ownership
  • Partner with HR, business leaders and local teams in region to build benefits capability and to ensure that business requirements are being considered and delivered
Requirements
  • Higher Degree or equivalent through experience
  • CIPP qualified – preferable, not essential
  • Minimum 3 years Benefit Management experience
  • Advantage: Experience of working in a multinational corporation
  • Experience of managing pension and benefits in the UK and ROI as well as design, costing and implementation of complex benefits schemes
  • Experience of working with Pension Trustees and key pension stakeholders
  • Experience of implementation/management of a flexible benefits platform
  • Excellent UK DB/DC Pension knowledge
  • Designing/delivering healthcare and risk benefits (plan evaluation, design, financing and implementation)
  • Strong excel and analytical skills (costing benefits implementation and using data to draft business case for benefits design changes)
  • Managing and driving multiple complex projects in parallel to completion, both personally and through project teams – decision making and working independently
  • Ability and interest in combining the strategic and operational aspects of benefits management (results oriented)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate complex information to multiple stakeholder groups
  • Experience of working with Payroll and good understanding of UK Tax/NI and Salary Sacrifice
