National Star are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative professional Tutor (Personal Learning Coordinator) to coordinate and deliver high quality programmes at our Hereford College.

National Star is a national charity rated Outstanding by OFSTED in 2017 & Outstanding by CQC (Care Quality Commission) in 2018. We work predominantly with 16-25 year olds with a wide range of Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities. At our core is the delivery of a number of specialist educational programmes ranging from broad life-skills to employment skills. These programmes are a mix of residential & day provision that are delivered currently across our locations in Ullenwood (nr Cheltenham), central Cheltenham, Gloucester, Hereford, Malvern and in Mamhilad, South Wales. We are seeking to appoint to our day provision at Hereford.

You will be responsible for putting together learning programmes and liaising with key staff, external professionals and families, as well as monitoring, recording and optimising learner progress. You will have experience of supporting or teaching students using innovative, creative and sensory approaches to young people with physical disabilities and learning difficulties. You will also have experience of the post 16 curriculum, possess excellent communication skills and be working towards or hold relevant teaching qualifications. Your teaching and recording of progress will meet required professional standards and ensure high quality provision for young people. You will be self-motivated and an excellent member of a multidisciplinary team working around a learner. You will confidently build positive relationships with students, colleagues and external stakeholders.
