Job Summary

Oversee the day-to-day Treasury operations for the EMEA segment of ACCO Brands. The Treasury Director has a primary responsibility of managing the ACCO Europe’s cash and liquidity together with transacting foreign exchange. The position is based in our Aylesbury office with a hybrid work arrangement.


Responsibilities

  • Transact deals in the foreign for cash management and hedging purposes in line with Group Policy
  • To manage the Group’s four European cash pools with Bank of America.
  • To manage the European Treasury Cash Position and reducing ‘trapped’ cash.
  • Analysing cashflow forecasting and implementing strategic decisions.
  • All cash related activities including the security and control of payments and collections processes by review and control of access rights and privileges across the Group’s online banking platforms.
  • Management of opening (and closing where applicable) all new transactional bank accounts.
  • Management of currency drawings against uncommitted facilities.
  • Key involvement with cash flow planning in relation to intercompany dividends and loan rationalisations.
  • The dealing of internal loans between Treasury and subsidiaries of the Group, including Group funding where necessary to accommodate these transactions.
  • Assisting and managing the European participants of the Group’s multi-currency monthly netting which acts as a medium for settlement of cross-border trade.
  • Managing trades and intercompany loans in the Treasury Management System (Kyriba)
  • Work with the Treasury Department in the US and assist in managing the FX Exposures and transactional risks. This will include providing information for the hedge program.
  • Work with External/Internal audit for any Treasury related items.
  • Banking support for the ACCO EMEA subsidiaries.
  • Ad-Hoc projects for the Treasury department as a whole.
  • Supervision of a Treasury Analyst

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in operational treasury management (including cash management and foreign exchange exposure management) for a large multinational Group in a managerial capacity.
  • Excellent understanding of global banking network.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; high attention to detail.
  • Proactive and positive approach to work.
  • Takes ownership and strives to improve processes and add value.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • AMCT qualified or similar Treasury qualification an advantage
  • Knowledge of Kyriba an advantage
  • Strong technical treasury experience
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer literate particularly in the use of spreadsheets and treasury software. Advanced Excel skills and outstanding modelling skills.
  • Good team player and project management skills.
  • Key attention for detail and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills.
