My client in Huddersfield a well know organisation are looking for a full time, experienced transport planner to come on board and join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work for an organisation that really values its staff. To apply for this role you must have experience within this field and you must be excellent team player. Your duties will include:-Dealing with the transportation of bulk liquids, powders and gases by using a diverse range of transport methods.
  • Keep vehicles moving on time and to schedule
  • Planning all deliveries
  • Ensuring that all customers are supplied with deliveries in the most safe and cost effective manner
  • Demonstrating strong transport planning skills and be able to carry out operational and administrative work
  • Cooperate closely with our subcontractors, depots and drivers, displaying excellent communication skills, to ensure that all transport-related requirements are fully met.
  • The key skill areas are efficient planning, accurate data entry, record-keeping and reporting
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge of computerised planning systems
  • Demonstrate the ability to deal with a variety of work challenges in a busy, fast moving department, often working unsupervised Key skills You must be confident and assertive with good interpersonal skills and be able to work under pressure and prioritise work, reacting to issues as they happen. An understanding of Drivers’ Hours Regulations is also important and you should have knowledge of UK geography. This role is on a shift pattern basis 12 hour shifts 4 on 4 off days and nights changing to 11.5hr shifts in the new year 26.5-28k Please apply today to avoid disappointment.
