Position: Transport Shift Manager - Nights
Location: Stoke On Trent, ST4 4EX
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-time)
Shift pattern: Nights, Sunday to Thursday 10pm to 6am
Closing Date: 11th March 2022

We make promises to our customers, and we’ll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;

  • Accountable for the delivery of all aspects of the shift operation ensuring the delivery of efficient & customer focussed service
  • You will be main person in charge on the night shift
  • Ensure colleagues are managed effectively to achieve all required standards of operational performance
  • Managing transport resources to ensure safe & legal operations, enforce walk around inspections, load security and gatehouse checks
  • Conduct effective shift briefs and performance dialogues
  • Supporting the achievement of all operational & financial KPI’s
  • Manage Driver performance/behaviours through Telematics to identify any major discrepancies and manage through the appropriate processes

We are looking for people who:

  • Logistic Industry and supervisory level
  • Transport Office experience
  • Line management capabilities
  • Transport legal compliance
  • Supervisory skills - managing individual performance/absenteeism/conflict and development
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong IT Skills
