Salary: Grade 5, £20,493 - £23,080 per annum.

37 hours per week

Your role:
You will coordinate all activities relating to commissioned transport for both home to school transport and adult social care transport across Wigan Borough. Together with ensuring all children and young people with SEND and vulnerable adults receive appropriate, efficient and safe transport.
This will be achieved through undertaking route planning for home to school transport and adult social care transport ensuring that all transport routes are efficient and cost effective.
About you:
We are looking for someone who has experience working in a dynamic environment together with a knowledge of route planning and logistic management within a transport environment. You will have strong problem solving abilities and a logical, structured approach to work.
You will be passionate about delivering exceptional services to families with children and adults with additional needs and disabilities. You will have an understanding of the challenges faced by such families and the impact this has on their ability to take their family member to school or day care. Your drive for service improvement will be obvious and your understand of the client bases and their needs and requirements will be strong.
