Job Introduction

The West of England Combined Authority is seeking to appoint aTransport Officer, to join the Transport Strategy team, working on the Western Gateway sub-National Transport Body programme. The post is a three year fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in projects that cover the South-West region of England, with a broad spectrum of strategic projects.

The project team is made up of officers from the Combined Authority, Bournemouth Christchurch & Poole, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire councils. It covers a broad spectrum of work, including developing a Strategic Transport Plan for the wider South-West Region, early business case development for the South-West Freight and Rural Mobility Strategies. The role involves working closely with the Department for Transport Policy leads, as well as ensuring we meet the needs of our local councils.
