The Company:

A Bristol based company are offering a very competitive and exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Manager to join their expanding and progressive team.

The Opportunity:

Our client is looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join them to work with their busy Transport team.

Your role will be to manage day-to-day duties within the Transport Division which consists of drivers and lorries, as well as sub-contractors. You will also work with a transport team who will help with your daily management duties as well as three members of the sales team.

Some Key Responsibilities

• Management and utilisation of the haulage fleet including sub-contractors
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Transport Department
• Management of the Transport Operations Team, drivers and sub-contractors.
• Ensuring company compliance of all transport policies, legislation and procedures with regards tachograph and working time directive.
• Planning the routes for all vehicles, focusing on cost and efficiency
• Providing drivers with important routing information and site-specific instructions
• Re-routing drivers as and when required quickly and efficiently
• Resolving and managing customer queries courteously and efficiently
• Identifying any operational issues, potential problems and opportunities.

The successful candidate will have very strong communication and management skills.

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday

07:00am – 17:00pm

PAY:

£55,000 per year + company car

Key Requirements:

• CPC holder
• PC Literate in Word, Excel
• 5 years in Transport Manager experience
• Transport planning experience
• Managerial role experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The knowledge and initiative to solve basic problems and make routine decisions
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
• Unfortunately, we cannot take anyone with a DR10 on their licence
