About The Role

As an experienced Transport and Logistics professional you’ll be a dab hand at logistical planning, coordinating and directing the movement of vehicles – but you may not have realised these skills can make a direct difference to the healthcare a patient receives.

At Practice Plus Group Ophthalmology North West we have developed a mobile service to minimise disruption to our patients, it operates at a number of sites nationally for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of wet AMD and other conditions that affect the macula. Practice Plus Group believes in strong teamwork and partnership amongst its people. This approach is at the heart of everything we do to deliver a high level of patient care.

About You

A key member of the North West Ophthalmology management team, you will be required to lead or participate in projects such as the implementation of new fixed clinical and office sites, the expansion of our mobile clinical unit fleet and other related ad-hoc projects as the service grows. You will be responsible for full legislative compliance of all vehicles and drivers as well as the direct line management of the HGV driver team.

Who we’re looking for

  • Transport Manager CPC qualification for our company Operators Licence and an HGV licence is preferable
  • Previous experience in transport/logistics
  • Effective team management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management
