Are you an experienced transport administrator looking for a position that you can really make a difference in? Do you like the idea of supporting the transport function on a brand-new key contract for one of the biggest, fastest-growing names in logistics? Are you ready for your next challenge?





We’re looking for a full-time, permanent Transport Administrator to co-ordinate the transport operations of the depot in order to achieve business objectives and the needs of the customer. Working Monday to Friday core hours (with some flexibility – this is logistics after all).

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £26,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:






  • You will dispatch routes to achieve contractual delivery times, conducting remedial planning to effectively manage live changes to the plan.
  • Ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism
  • To ensure that details of vehicle accidents are escalated to line management
  • To ensure that defected vehicles are recorded on traffic sheets
  • To ensure that the procedure for damaged deliveries is followed where necessary
  • To use all IT based systems in the effective delivery of their role including YMS, Sphere & WTS
  • Ensures that appropriate communication methods are used to provide information to both internal and external customers as required e.g. debrief of drivers, dealing with customer issues etc.
  • To ensure that all traffic planning activity is undertaken in line with legislative requirements
  • To ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety requirements highlighting any concerns to line management
  • Conduct relevant QHSE activities: Care Cards, Bsafe, Safety Conversations etc
  • To identify and highlight to management any potential improvement opportunities
  • To demonstrate the Company Values in the undertaking of their role
  • To undertake any other reasonable task as required.
  • To always display the highest standards of customer service.
  • To undertake any relevant training events in line with own personal development needs and business requirements









What you need to succeed at XPO:






  • Previous experience within a transport / logistics organisation
  • Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and react quickly to customer requirements
  • Effective Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to take a creative approach to problem solving.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
  • Operational understanding of team roles
