Here at XPO Logistics, we’re recruiting for a full-time, permanent Warehouse Shift Manager to join us on our new ambient operation for Iceland in Swindon.


Working on an ‘any 5 from 7’ shift pattern, you’ll provide leadership and guidance to your team of warehouse colleagues, enabling them to meet objectives, communicate openly and address operational issues effectively.



Pay, benefits and more:


We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £38,500 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Manage the performance of your shift on a day-to-day basis, ensuring productivity, efficiency and compliance
  • Ensure the effective utilisation of resource, monitoring headcount and cost-effectiveness
  • Be the go-to person for the resolution of any operational queries or issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Drive a positive site culture throughout your team, consistently striving for continuous operational improvement



What you need to succeed at XPO:


  • Previous experience of leading a large, diverse team at Shift Manager level (ideally in a frozen/food environment)
  • The ability to provide effective leadership, guidance and development to your team
  • Confidence in the use of IT, especially Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems
  • A strong understanding of health and safety compliance and how to drive a positive safety culture
