Applications are invited for an outstanding programme manager for the TransNAT consortium, led by Professor Matthew Wood, to oversee the operational aspects of the programme comprising global leaders in 12 institutions, including academic and industry partners (AstraZeneca, Ionis and Silence Therapeutics). The consortium of enthusiastic scientific teams are working to overcome major barriers to safe and effective oligonucleotide delivery through the development of novel technologies, ultimately enabling the potential of these therapies to be fully realised for the treatment of a wide range of diseases. Current work focusses on preclinical development of oligonucleotide therapies for rare neuromuscular diseases such as Duchenne muscular dystrophy, as well as developing improvements for their therapeutic applicability through use of lipid and peptide conjugation.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing proactive, strategic, and high-quality administrative support and decision-making with an exceptional level of organisational skills and efficient time and project management. A positive and flexible attitude is important in order to build relationships with the scientific and management teams across the consortium. The success of the consortium will drive the national direction in advanced therapeutics and the postholder will be a key individual in ensuring the programme achieves all deliverables and milestones within budget and on time.
Applicants who fulfil the majority of the criteria are strongly encouraged to seek further information and to apply.
You will be required to upload a CV and Supporting Statement as part of your online application. The Supporting Statement should include a cover letter and should also clearly describe how you meet each of the selection criteria listed in the job description.
