We have a new opportunity to be part of the Production teamin the role of Transmission Production Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the production of all transmission & hydraulic components including current and development specifications, including all lifing requirements
  • Be the first point of contact for escalation purposes and feedback actions required to the production control manager
  • Ability to work unsupervised whilst maintaining clear communications regarding project delivery
  • Monitor and manage the scope of requirements for future projects and manage actions required
  • Successful on time management of assigned projects, ensuring all processes have been carried out and to the required quality.
  • Carry out continuous process improvement for the projects
  • Ensure change management is correctly carried out for the projects
  • Ensure car performance is key focus of production engineering group, delivering quality projects to fastest possible timeline

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Possess an excellent working knowledge of F1 components and manufacturing methods
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the process between release and manufacture
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of project management techniques
  • Previous experience of assembly management or similar in a Formula One environment / high level Motorsport / high paced engineering environment
  • Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales
  • Possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Project and can interrogate project plans, ensuring manufacturing milestones are achieved
  • To communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues & peers.
  • To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment
  • To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment, taking on additional responsibilities as required
  • Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills
  • Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety
