Training and Continuous Improvement Manager

Based at Royle Barn Road OL11 3DU

Hours of work 8.00 am – 5.00 pm but you will need to be flexible to work around the 24/7 shifts of the business if required.

Are you a motivated, organised individual seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a Training and Continuous Improvement Manager to work in our warehousing environment to organise, plan and execute training for our employees working in our Distribution Centre and Warehouse based in Rochdale.

The main goal of this role is to develop, support and train the Warehousing Teams to enable team members to work more efficiently and effectively. Our vision is to develop a strong continuous improvement culture continuously improving processes, training programs and delivery.

You will have responsibility for creating and delivering training to support the team’s growth and will be responsible for facilitating and coaching through continuous improvement.

Duties

  • Design, create and deliver training plans and safe operating procedures for new and existing employees.
  • Liaise with line managers to assess the skills and knowledge of the employees to determine what training is needed to ensure continuous development of team members.
  • Continuously review process to identify key areas for improvement and constructively challenge the status quo to drive the best result for the business
  • Revise and update training documents in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment.
  • Search for gaps in current training material that can be filled to ensure safety and productivity among staff members
  • Maintain the sites’ legal and regulatory stance relating to current legislation and MHE training compliance.
  • Enter training records on HR Management system and produce in-house certification

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in coaching/training individuals and teams
  • Experience in writing training content
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to identify company training needs
  • Advanced skill level of Microsoft products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Use & understanding of Process Mapping tools would be an advantage.
  • Analytical skills
  • Experience of maintaining learning records and undertaking training administration duties
  • Strong time management skills: Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload in a high-pressured environment

Desirable Qualifications / Experience:

  • CIPD Certificate/Diploma in Learning and Development or equivalent
  • Experience within a warehouse / production environment
  • IOSH certification
