We have a new and exciting role for a Trainer to join the Change & Delivery team within our offices in Fleetwood, with occasional travel to our Manchester office.

The Trainers core purpose is to design & deliver training for new and existing staff members, promoting ongoing people development. Equipping employees with the knowledge, practical skills, and motivation to carry out work-related tasks. Helping with the ongoing, long-term improvement of employees’ skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within the organisation.

Additionally, this position has key engagement activity with our offshore outsource call centre’s training team to ensure they maximise their performance to deliver the highest level of customer experience.

Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Ownership of the design & delivery of all training activity within BES Utilities in a range of settings (instructor-led, remote learning, 1-2-1 coaching) including Train-the-Trainer for our outsourced partner and supporting super users in training delivery
  • Design, develop and implement new eLearning courses for departmental and business needs, whilst effectively managing the administration for our LMS platform
  • Effective management of training resources including updating and archiving as required for both workshops and eLearning
  • Work with the wider business key stakeholders to build and maintain a successful onboarding journey for new starters
  • Continuous evaluation of our training courses/materials to ensure effectiveness of training & development across the business with main focus on enhancing our customer experience and increase overall learner skillset
  • As part of Change & Delivery, maintain engagement with the change calendar to ensure all Project training requirements are understood and delivered
  • Stakeholder engagement providing return on investment analysis for all active training programmes & future recommendations
  • Co-ordination and support external training providers with apprenticeship & NVQ work-based qualifications
  • Support wider team with co-ordination & delivery of training events including: arranging dates venues, communication, room layout and resources

Role Requirements:

Essential

  • Experience in coaching &/or training design/delivery
  • Sales/energy sector experience
  • Competent IT skills with MS Office, Teams and LMS platform(s)
  • English & Maths GCSE Grades A-C

Desirable

  • Experience designing eLearn &/or classroom-based material
  • Training or teaching qualification/accreditation
  • Experience working with Articulate software platform
  • Working within Agile project environments
